Before joining Carrick, Mr. Smith held a number of senior positions within the MGA market, including Head of Delegated Underwriting Management at Brit Syndicate, where he managed several onshore and offshore operational teams that handled the syndicates 700+ coverholders and 2000+ binding authorities. Mr. Smith was also Head of MGA’s & Facilities for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions, in charge of the global MGA portfolio.

More recently Mr. Smith was Distribution Director at Mission Underwriters, an MGA investor and incubator and then was a Consultant at Polo Works, working the executive team to launch new Lloyd’s businesses and heading up their MGA platform.
