Carrick Holdings Strengthens Team with Key Appointments in London and Bermuda
January 7th, 2026 – Carrick Group Limited (“Carrick”), a Bermuda-based international non-life legacy insurer, has strengthened its team with the appointments of Alex Smith as Senior Vice President, Operations, in London, and Aidan Mills as Vice President of M&A, in Bermuda.
Mr. Smith joins from PoloWorks, where he held a consultancy role. He started his career at Aviva, and has previously worked at companies such as Amlin, Liberty Syndicates, Brit, Swiss Re, Dale Underwriting, Liberty Specialty Markets, Pen Underwriting, and Mission Underwriters.
Mr. Mills was most recently Assistant Vice President at Chubb in Bermuda. He started his career with Deloitte in Sydney, Australia, and previously worked in Bermuda for Allianz and AXA XL. He joins Assistant Vice-President, Finance, Armin De Weert, in the Carrick Bermuda office.
